this collection of photos comes with a number of letters between Richard
Macartney and Adrienne Clarke in the 70s while he was working in America for
11 weeks, just before they married, they are very personal letters and I
won't transcribe them here.

John with his two wives kept the "girls" occupied.

good, company ordinary and the weather could be better, but we get out every
evening and the car is useful to run around. We have met several families on
the beach and made friends which adds to the 'crack' - No doubt you are all
set for Kay, Bill & Garrell. We went to a dance in the N. Counties last
