1) 4th March 1942 to Captain J. E. Clarke, Royal Engineers, No. 1 Docks Stores Section, No. 4 Docks Group, Middle East Force from 1 Bellevue Road, Carnalea, Co. Down - Dearest Edmund, Here I am! at home again - no more rushing out in the mornings to catch the bus - no more missing it and having to hike into Bangor - no more angry looks because more often than not I was almost an hour late. Ah well! I suppose I shall get used to doing house work again.  Seems strange you talking about the lovely blue sky and brilliant sunshine - when last week we had snow - heap of it - must say I enjoyed it very much. It's great fun going out with a crowd to snowball although one does get very wet. Cheerio dear, All my love. ?
