2) Coollattin, Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow.  October 20th.  My darling, the briefest of scribbles before port-time, to say that I love you and miss you terribly. Hope work goes well and is interesting. Do write to me when you have time. "Royal Spirit" was backed down to second formation? (not ?) looked magnificent and ran abominably, so that was very disappointing. I hope you backed ? and Predominate in the ? after I suggested them! Have been looking up Faith Healer's form which is good, but he has nothing to prove he will stay nine furlongs! especially if the going is heavy. Charlie and June Judd spent the weekend here. We played bridge and laughed a lot, also raced at the Curagh Saturday which was fun but not very profitable. The Shillelagh Farmers hunt were cubbing? in the woods this morning. Fun but shambolic! Darling, lots of love, will write again soon. from ?

Associated Press. - Ulster Textile Review click to read  -  'Never a Dull Moment' says Cripps. Sir Stafford Cripps, speaking last night at the annual dinner of the Council of Indian Merchants' Bureau in London, said that we were living in an intensely interesting and exhilarating time in the world. "There is never a dull moment. If nothing is happening somewhere you can be quite sure that something will be happening somewhere else. 'We are, in fact, living in a great period of economic readjustment, when the social and political forces that the human race has engendered are demanding the adjustment of economic and financial habits that some of them have become out of date. We all of us have to think anew and reassess the position."
