another cracker, this would have been taken inside Boots, if you stand at the side door you can just about get the angle right but you need to be further back, I can remember the Fire Station being there and the bell ringing when they were called out, a wee bit later than this photo though :) see below for 'then and now'

this copy of the Bangor Fire Brigade photo is far clearer and shows the church in the background perfectly

have been trying to figure out where this was taken, suggestions are the back of Bangor town hall or Clandeboye Estate
